statement:

Jonas Jungblut is approaching his work from a naturally analytical point of view. To Jungblut new questions and challenges constantly arise. Solving these problems, besides seeking clarification on the question why the problems arise in the first place and why he is consumed to find answers, is what drives Jungblut’s work.

Born and raised in Berlin, Germany, Jungblut, inspired by the Beat Generation writers, relocated to California at the age of twenty. There he found himself faced with the struggle of finding a balance between his analytical and composed German side and the loose but competitive approach to life he encountered in California.

Schooled in photography but influenced by conceptual art as well as street art Jonas Jungblut is creating conceptual work across different mediums.
