ISLA VISTA

Isla Vista is a small community on the northern end of the campus of the University of California Santa Barbara. Isla Vista delivers a unique mash-up of beautiful natural environments, peace lovers, communal gardens and academics on one side while most of the noise comes from party-hungry youngsters, left to their own devices for the first time and trying to add their mark to a notorious history.

My work’s central theme is the relationship of chaos and balance. Isla Vista is a physical and energetic representation of balance and chaos.
